What was your first job? If you don't have a job, what do you think your first job will be?

From the time I was 11 I would babysit and tutor the kids around the neighborhood.  It kept me extremely busy.  I loved it!   My first job however, was quite a different story.   I went to work for a fast food restaurant.   My job was to put the hamburgers on a conveyor belt like thing along with the buns.  The problem with the machine is that it would catch on fire.   We were extremely busy.  It was the lunch rush.  (School was out for summer.  I was 16. )   I was trying to keep the machine from catching on fire as well as pulling off the buns and meat from the grill.   I had to then put pickles on them and put them in a steamer.   The manager came out and was berating me because, I had put pickles on the hamburger wrong!  They weren't spread apart equally!  LOL  Like someone is going to bring back the hamburger because the pickles were not placed on there exactly!   Meantime the grill once again catches fire and I have to grab the salt shaker and put out the flames.  The customers were actaully yelling at the manager to leave me alone.
I had a nightmare one night that a giant hamburger was after me.  Shortly after that I quit  the job.  LOL  When you have giant hamburger's coming after you in your sleep it is time to change jobs!

Only a while ago, I was a waitor at Old Chicago.
After only a couple months of working there, I quit because of being too busy with my band, friends, school, & my other job of being a moderator on many other websites.

My first job was a daycare worker at a bowling alley when I was 15.  I watched the kids while their parents bowled on leagues and stuff.

When I was 16 I got my first full time job...at Taco Bell.  (Spent more money eating there than I saved cause I loved the food so much.)

I started out doing lawncare with my siblings at age 11. I then went to babysitting. At age fourteen I got my first job through a summer program for teenagers. I worked as a food prep and dishwasher the first year there. The second year I was transfered to the Geriatric Ward. I forget to tell you I was working in a hospital. It was quite an experience because of the type of hospital it was. But it also helped me to see what so many people go through in life when they are pushed to their limits. The hopsital I worked in was the State Mental Hospital. I did have fun working there because I had some of my friends assigned there as well as my brother, so we just stuck together knew where and where not to go on the grounds. For the most part the patients were kind and silly, some were allowed to wonder the grounds (Not the real bad ones) But this one time I have to tell you about. Because you never knew who was a patient and who was not (alot of them were dillusional and role played real well) Anyway this one time I ws leaving to go to lunch and I was walking and talking with a doctor and we left out the doors together. He went one way and myself another. When I returned from lunch the staff and security were rushing around and in a panic. I didn't know what was going on so I asked. Well come to find out a patient was missing. You guesed it, the doctor that I was talking to was not a doctor at all. He was a patient. I patient that I walked right out the front door. And this was a patient that was not suppose to be out of the building. Man did I feel bad and scared all at the same time. But how was I to know. I tell you those were the days. You live and learn and mature quickly when you work a job like that one. You also learn compassion for people becuse you never know what ones are going through. Well that was my first job. Alot for a teenager huh? But the good thing is when I look back and think about that doctor and that I walked him right on out of there, I laugh and laugh, again I say, who knew. Besides they found him at the picnic grounds a few minutes later. lol
