Who all is having trouble with RA?

I went to redownload an old game of mine and my computer crashed. I had a lot of problem with the site, and my pc started acting weird. Then I had to restart the computer to get my download and it crashed.

I'm 99% positive it was RA that caused it.  It was maddening. It took 2 hours to restore it...which was all I could do. I have lost everything. I want to know about other problems before I contact them and chew them out.

Thanks...

BTW................Good Morning Everyone

Hi Trina,

I'm curious as to whether your problem has been solved.  I've been reading on the Gamezebo forums that others have been having issues with RealArcade/Gamehouse.  There are games that RealArcade had that Gamehouse doesn't.

It makes me think whether the merger was a good idea in the first place.  Although Gamehouse does have good games and their club membership is good (like Big Fish's), its customer service could definitely use a lot of improvement.  I sent a tech support email about one of my games on Gamehouse not working and it took them a month before responding and then they said that it's a problem with my computer when I clearly knew that wasn't the case.

Suffice it to say that I've never dealt with Gamehouse ever again.

I can not get my games that are mine on real arcade. If I do, then my computer crashes again.

I had to get playfirst to give me unlocks on 2 of my games, because I lost them and had to reinstall them. I lost every thing. Some games I have to buy again if I want them back.

I'm scared to try to redownload my games from real arcade again. I'm afraid it will crash my laptop again.

Eeek, can't say I blame you.  We definitely have to be careful of which gaming portals to buy games from.  From experience, it looks like Big Fish is the best place.  They have great prices, a huge variety of games (although I wish they carried the Emily series), and great customer service.

Big Fish Games is definitely the best as far as I am concerned.   It starts with the download and continues with customer service: AAA all the way!  I have been with Gamehouse for awhile and have never had any problems.   I can't say the same for RA.   I was overcharged and didn't stay with them long.
